I use a Start Right frame in my classes for travel. It is very sturdy, easy to set up and can be set to queen or king or baby.

MQX is a wonderful machine quilting exposition. It was in New Hampshire for years and last year was the first year in Providence, RI. There are classes of all types of machine quilting and the vendors mall is just wonderful! Check it out at MQXshow.com! I will be teaching several classes on Short Arm Quilting. Join me if you can!

Hi Belinda! These workshops have proven priceless to those who have attended. However I understand about the cost. I am finding out that most people that have these frames are working full or part time 7 don't have tons of money or time! So YES we have decided to start production of videos using th ehome quilting frame. If all goes correct these will be available by September 2011! Keep checking my blog as this year progresses. As always feel free to ask me questions! happy quilting!

How I wish I could come to your workshop. Unfortunately I live in MS and it is too far away . I also just bought a start right frame and a Jukie TL 2010Q and have it set up but have not mastered it yet. I have the sure stitch but I am not sure it is working right. Don't suppose I could talk you into making a video could I? I know you would be able to sell plenty of them. Have fun and I will be thinking of all of you.

I can hardly wait for your workshops. I've signed up for all you have in Overland Park KS. I already had a Juki 98Q so bought a Start Rite frame. I then decided I didn't want to lose my beautiful piecing machine so bought a 2010 Juki. Its put together (awaiting sure stitch). I know I will learn lots from you. See you soon

Wenda, THANK YOU for starting this blog. I read your 1st article in The Quilter and am looking forward to reading the next one. It sounds like you are "bringing short arm quilting out of the closet". All I can say is, it's about time!

If anyone can teach you about shortarm quilting, believe me, I have taken several classes from Wenda and she is fabulous. Not only in teaching but her personality.

I'm really glad you are starting a blog. I've learned much from reading. I have a Juki and am planning on getting a frame. Arthritis has set in and I think a frame is the only way I can continue quilting.

I am really looking forward to this blog, too! I recently acquired a Husquvarna mega quilter and inspira frame. I believe this qualifies as short arm quiliting, right? I just finished a test quilt for my dog and I guess it's acceptable for a dog. :) My biggest problem is advancing the quilt and keeping the stitching even (sometimes I overlap and sometimes there's a bigger gap between rows w/ my stippling). Anyways...thanks!

you don't know how many times I hear the desparate cry of "HELP!" and then the quiet sigh of relief after my workshops! so keep reading, and attend a workshop if you can! it is worth the trip!
